How much does a print cost?
Every format and size is listed on the shop at its live price, and every price includes free standard UK delivery. The watermarked preview of your horse is free.
How does the personalised name print work?
Type your horse's name, breed and yard: we set it in type and show you the layout as you type. No photo needed. When you order, the design is rendered at full print resolution and made to order.
How does the portrait work?
Upload a photo of your horse, pick one of five styles (oil, watercolour, charcoal, pop art or impressionist) and the photo is redrawn in that style. Verify your email for three successful previews per day on this website. Each is watermarked and saved for 30 days. When you order, we use the exact selected artwork without the watermark, at an eligible print size or as a digital download.
Will the printed artwork look like the preview?
Yes. We use the exact artwork you select, without the watermark. Your chosen product may crop the edges as shown in its preview; a digital download contains the complete artwork.
What photos work best for a portrait?
A clear, well-lit photo with the horse as the subject: side-on in the field, head over the stable door, or ridden.
How long does delivery take?
Made to order, then delivered: standard UK delivery is free and takes 4 to 9 working days. Priority delivery is offered at checkout.
When do I need to order for Christmas?
For Christmas 2026, order by Thursday 10 December with free standard delivery, or by Tuesday 15 December with Priority delivery at checkout. Those dates count our slowest delivery times back from 23 December. After that, a digital file of the name print or the photo print still works, because it arrives by email as soon as you have paid.
Do I need a photo to order?
No. The name print needs only the horse's name, with the breed, yard or year if you want them, and the horse prints in the shop are ready-made artworks. You need a photo only for the portrait and for the photo print.
What if my photo is too small for a big print?
For a photo print, each size is checked against your file before you can add it to the basket, and a size the photo can't fill properly is not offered. So the sizes you are shown are the ones your photo can carry. If the size you wanted is missing, a larger or sharper copy of the same photo usually brings it back.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Not at the moment. We deliver to UK addresses only, and every price includes that delivery. If you are buying from abroad for someone in the UK, give their UK address at checkout.
What do you do with uploaded photos?
Uploads are used only to produce your preview and your print. Unpurchased uploads are deleted automatically after 30 days. Watermarked previews are saved for 30 days. We never use your photos for anything else.
Can I return a personalised gift?
If your order arrives damaged or wrong, we reprint or refund: send photos to hello@stableandhoof.com as soon as you can. Within 30 days of delivery you can reject it for a full refund; after that you still have your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Because personalised items are made to your specification, the usual 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply once production starts (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg 28(1)(b)). Artworks from the shop are not personalised, so you can send one back within 14 days of delivery if you change your mind; you pay the return postage.
