How the portrait is made

Upload a photo of your horse and choose a style: Oil Painting, Watercolour, Charcoal Sketch, Pop Art or Impressionist. An AI image model repaints your photo in the style you choose. You see a watermarked preview, free, up to three a day after you verify your email, and the print uses that exact picture without the watermark.

What it comes on

Poster: 250gsm uncoated off-white archival paper, A4 to 70x100 cm.
Framed poster: A3 and A2, in black or natural wood.
Canvas: stretched on a 2 cm frame, 30x40 to 60x80 cm.
Framed canvas: 30x40, 40x50 and 50x70 cm, in black, dark wood or natural wood.
Metal: 30x40, 40x50 and 50x70 cm.
Wood: 30x40 and 40x50 cm.
Mug: 11oz. Water bottle: 500ml.
Digital file: the picture, to print wherever you like.

Which photo works

JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, at least 800 px on the short side. Daylight, the whole head in frame and the eyes in focus give the model more to work with. Tick that you own the photo or have permission to reproduce it.

Delivery

Everything is made to order. Standard UK delivery is free and takes 4 to 9 working days, and Priority delivery is offered at checkout. If it arrives damaged or wrong, we reprint or refund. A digital file is emailed as a download link that stays live for 30 days. Every size and its live price is on the shop.

Questions, answered

Is the portrait painted by hand?

No. It is repainted from your photo by an AI image model, in the style you choose. You see the watermarked preview before you pay, and the print uses that exact picture without the watermark.

Do I have to pay to see a preview?

No. After you verify your email you can generate up to three successful previews a day, free. You only pay if you choose one and order it.

Can I return it?

It is made to your specification, so there is no change-of-mind return. If it arrives damaged or wrong, email photos within 30 days to hello@stableandhoof.com and we reprint or refund. Full details on delivery and returns.
