About this quiz

This is a revision quiz we wrote ourselves. It is not made by, linked to or approved by The Pony Club, and it doesn't use their test papers or manuals. It is for anyone revising horse knowledge, whether for a badge, a test or the fun of it.

Every answer is a fact we read in a named source, such as the FEI's rules, the British Horse Society, GOV.UK or a vet genetics lab. The source sits next to each answer when it is marked, so you can read more.

Revision you can do at the kitchen table.

Using it with a group

For a branch rally or a yard quiz night, read the questions out and let people write their answers down. Then pick the answers on the page to mark them, and read out the reasons. Your answers sit in the page address, so you can copy the link and send a finished quiz to someone else.

Want more on a round? Our dressage arena letters tool prints the arena to scale. The foal colour calculator works through the colour genes, and the rug calculator shows the BHS rugging guidance step by step.
